If you only have one over and under -- be one with it. Good evening everyone, thanks for accepting my registration. I have never been able to rise to that level yet but was always awed by what he could do with a shotgun. People can change and things can go wrong, but just remember, the ride's gonna go on. Thanks for the info on lubing it. Browning shotguns have become my favorite. The guns from Brownings 'High Grade Program' they started a few back don't follow the standard serial number process.

The serial number found on your gun has the answer. The 'Lightning' usually has a rounded 'bag' grip and are lighter weight than the square pistol grip. Love the gun and works great for me. The wood for this gun is still available, but in very limited quantities. It was like new when I found it on the rack at Gander Mountain, and I know they sold these guns, but they Store Manager said they only had them until 2004 tops.

Thank you Jack for the history lesson and explanation of the locking mechanism. I also prefer something a bit more understated, but this certainly does look nice on it. Inflex Technology has also been added to make shooting more comfortable. That 'gold' is simple Lacquer stick that will come out with a toothbrush and alcohol. Another possibility with the serial number is it could be a special order. The gunsmith didn't want to touch it because the gun is so new. Just the top-break lever is the dangdest marvel of firearms engineering imaginable.

It is found on the fore end iron for sure and other places, I suppose. I suppose I should get the serial number and check it on Browning's site, which might give me some more info about it. I am trying to get a date and a specific model on a gun that I have bought. Can anyone shed some light on this? I've double checked the serial number and it is indeed as I've written it. So Guns Unlimited had a later special run? It goes together like a cowboy puzzle otherwise.

Brownings machine guns re-wrote the history of the world and are still viable today. Thanks for the compliment I love this gun! Me made parts instead of drawings and was most proud of mechanisms without visible pivots or screws. Browning had them link belts together and shot over 20,000 rounds without a pause from the M1919 test gun. It's a half pound heavier than yours. I bought the gun used and the bottom barrel did not fire often. One does the 'waggle borders' and the other cuts the rosettes that's been standard since the '40s. Like the original Citori, the 725 is engineered to wear in, not out.

I believe they are a Browning authorized repair shop. The infantry test for light machine guns was 200 rounds without stoppage. The stock alone is around 600 bucks. There may be some Vizsla dog hairs visible and some specks of dust, but I still haven't seen any dings or chips. Stock has always been tight, nothing loose anywhere.

Being slightly right of center it seemed to me to be in a good position to still have lots of wear-in time! Could anyone help out on this - thanks if you can. All mechanical parts are obsolete. Enlarged picture appears original serial number area or actual number was removed using an end mill by the tooling marks. It happens at just less than a million rounds because I've bought Mistledine skeet school guns with a million rounds through them and just needing a new block. I have a 1934 Browning Superposed before the gold trigger lightning job.
